Hi! I had a baby 18 months ago and breastfeeding made it so much harder. I would mainly focus on eating real well. Lots of fruits veggies protein and whole grain carbs. If you want to count your calories just watch your milk supply :) ring slings don't work well for long periods of time if you're interested in wearing him for a while I would get a woven or an ergo if you're able. Walking burns a bit more calories that way and it works really really well for squats haha. A lot of times you can find a babywearing exercise group too. We love hiking and my son has always loved being up on my back where he can check everything out and it's a great way to get out of the house. You definitely don't have to wait until he weans were still nursing with no end in sight and we'll probably have another baby before he finally decides he's done so there's no way I was waiting! It's slow going though it was a lot easier before having him. Another option is body weight fitness exercises while he naps!

Look for local mother and baby groups. My wife went to an exercise groups for mum with babies where they did tailored exercise and it was always a friendly place.

This isn't for everyone. It won't work if it rains or snows a lot where you live or if traffic is bad and your baby may need to be a little older for this.

But my kids loved going for rides in a bicycle trailer.

It's easy on the knees and some of your kid's earliest memories will be of you exercising. My daughter is a teenager now and will not be seen in public with me. But she still remembers going for rides in the bike trailer.

Hey, there's a squirrel ! Bike trailers are also good for people like me with raging cases of ADD. You can see more and you aren't cooped up in one place.

Youtube has lots of exercise videos yout can do with no equipment right in your living room, no need to leave the house. I personally wouldn't and didn't restrict calories while breast feeding your body does need them. I did not just eat whatever but good healthy food is important. Sometimes the body takes a while to snap back. And you know those last few pounds are always stubborn.

Seems like doing workout DVDs with kiddo in a bouncy chair would work too.
