Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

At $4.50 each you might as well get it. Anything that big for that cheap is usually a good idea.

Play the first one. Then watch the Let's Plays of the rest because it has a decent story - it's not worth doing all the tedious gameplay stuff to get the story, though.

It does get incredibly monotonous. Couldn't finish any of them - at first it's a refreshing mix of Thief and Prince of Persia, then it turns into "Jesus, how many times do I have to do this?"

If fighting games are your thing, and you can tolerate some climbing puzzles, I guess there's something here for you.
Meh. Try before you buy, imo. The core mechanics never change, and the games can be incredibly repetitive.
Story, travel to X, climbing puzzle, scout from high building, fight, assasinate target, some more story, repeat.
I've played AC, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations, and AC3, and i've finished all those but AC3.
AC is meh. AC2 is often considered the best. Brotherhood and revelations were a blur, too similar to AC2. AC3 was so boring and the story so disjointed I quit the series there. The naval battles in AC3 were pretty sweet tho, so i'm stoked to play black flag later today. It's at 75% discount on steam.
From my understanding, the series only got worse after that, with AC:unity being completely broken.

For the price each game is now you can't go wrong with it. The game in the series to me is AC2.

I'd say try Black Flag. It's a great game on its own and doesn't spoil much of the main story. If you like the gameplay, maybe get the others.
The franchise was great, but lost some momentum, because Ubisoft are milking it too much and it seems they don't know where to go with the main story. The games are always worth 10-15$ though in my opinion.

No... Very no...If you really want to I'd go for AC2, Brotherhood, and maybe Revelations. They are the best in the series IMO.
