What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

Tone is a tough thing to get across in text, verbosity helps to convey the total concept. It is like with irony and sarcasm, they are just not easy things to do in text form, you end up having to be explicit about your intent.
"The Elder Scrolls VI - Speculating on New Races"
Would have gotten the idea across with greater alacrity. Gotta remember, a lot of people will judge a book by its cover on the Internet, so it is best not to disappoint them with something they could construe as a bait and switch.
Your subject line gives of a sense that maybe there is news, or a rumour.

I don't think I've ever seen such honest, constructive, and respectful criticism online before. You're a credit to the community.

I don't know about that, but thanks. I do try to encourage things to get better. In particular I like to make sure I include a reason why I have downvoted something. Just getting downvoted by people is discouraging, whereas knowing why it happened lets you move on and improve more readily.
I actually have made posts pontificating the merits of responding to things you downvote for that reason.
Mind you, I have also written a fucking novella on why having binary voting just encourages that kind of blind downvoting. I find the carrot and the stick to be stifling.
