Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

That's a cynical assumption on your part, not based in fact. Interoperability requires certain restrictions and controls in order to work properly. You're making it out like it's just some money grab scheme to dominate the industry and I haven't got time to argue that kind of bottom rung logic.

Then don't argue. This is a forum to voice our opinions. If you don't have time, just don't reply. It absolutely is a money grab, nobody is doubting that. Now if Microsoft will, or won't dominate the industry, or fundamentaly change the way games are published on pc is ultimately what every rational consumer is afraid of.

I think that guy was Shilling for Microsoft.

You're voicing an opinion but stating it as fact. And you're wrong. Microsoft learned an outrageously expensive lesson about trying to leverage their position as the #1 OS provider for the PC (by a phenomenal margin) to force other entities in the industry to do things a certain way. They aren't going to make that same mistake twice because they already know the outcome. Don't be so bloody naive.
