What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

I'll discuss it. We hadn't actually talked about live-pinging the server which is something we need to consider. So it's totally doable.
It may only be to the extent that we ping the server once every server page view or every few page views to cut down on sending so many requests to the server unnecessarily. We'll definitely talk about it.

If you do add this it would be nice to also have a last live notice so we can gauge how long it has been down, this makes the site more useful after joining the server as well. this is the biggest issue I see for these sites if they are successful you will only get repeat traffic every few months when people go looking for something new.

Well, this list is a bit different to the typical server list site. We intend to moderate it more strictly than the average server list. Aka, if it's deemed of quality based on a set quality standard, it may be added to the list.
We're essentially trying to bring everyone a server list they can trust rather than a server list where you have to test connect to the server to even know if it's actually running.
With this, we also intend to rank servers based on actual player reviews under a weighted score system. And some various other things we want to do to increase trust and quality.
