I recently started playing this game and I'm struggling to enjoy it. I enjoyed playing Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain and The Walking Dead. They are probably the most similar type of games to this.

Life is Strange just isn't gripping me. I just finished Episode two of LiS and still feel like the game is STILL just trying to set up the premise. I can't really get excited or gripped about school drama. It all just seems so mundane and the characters stereotypical. There is the rich spoiled brat, highschool jock, friendzoned nerd, rebel teenager, mean girls and strict dad who is haunted by memories of war. I can't even remember half of their names since they felt so bland.

The time rewind mechanic just takes away the tension. I really don't feel invested in the decisions since I can rewind and change them so easily.

I'm really hoping that the following episodes that I've yet to play will change my mind. Currently my expectations have gotten pretty low, so I think it has a chance of still surprising me.

Well, you really ought to finish the game, you'll be in for a surprise.

I would agree that the game is slow to pick up pace and takes a good time to set everything up, and while I didn't mind this at all I can see why people might not like it, but what they're doing in the last episode and the ending with everything they've spent so long setting up is totally worth it. It really is a very unique and cool story.
