This game, completely sucked me into the story like no other game has in the past two decades. I didn't even realize games like this existed until this past week.
It literally has made me question everything about the way I live my life and how I act toward those close to me. I seriously hope this lasts, and I intend to act on these feelings and make a difference to my relationships.
I won't spoil anything for you. This is a game where the first play through is a jarring experience. I really recommend just playing, don't restart if you think you messed something up. Just play, and embrace the game.
I've never considered myself much of an advocate of any particular game... but this one has me going out of my way to say something to people.

I'm sorry to hear you were so touched by such a shitty game.

I'm more sorry you couldn't appreciate it for what it was. Maybe someday you will. I have hope for you.

If you really, really liked the story, that's fine, but I've played more interesting stories, personally. A more interesting story with actual gameplay. If you're ok with walking simulators, you're going to obviously enjoy it more than other people. Also if you're ok with their characters. I find them bland. Some people just don't want to solve high school drama all day, and I don't think that's really going to change. I know I would rather just watch The Girl Who Jumped Through Time if I want to enjoy a teen who literally finds the exact same powers, and does stuff.

Who has that screen cap of Jimmy saying "That's an ad"?

I know I'm really old, but is this even a game?
I watched my SO play it, and tbh it was a great story, but there didn't appear to be any actual, y'know, gameplay.
Life is Strange, Heavy Rain, Space Ace. Interactive movies at best, but not what I'd call a game. I'm off to play Lylat Wars.
EDIT: Crappy english.

I recently started playing this game and I'm struggling to enjoy it. I enjoyed playing Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain and The Walking Dead. They are probably the most similar type of games to this.
Life is Strange just isn't gripping me. I just finished Episode two of LiS and still feel like the game is STILL just trying to set up the premise. I can't really get excited or gripped about school drama. It all just seems so mundane and the characters stereotypical. There is the rich spoiled brat, highschool jock, friendzoned nerd, rebel teenager, mean girls and strict dad who is haunted by memories of war. I can't even remember half of their names since they felt so bland.
The time rewind mechanic just takes away the tension. I really don't feel invested in the decisions since I can rewind and change them so easily.
I'm really hoping that the following episodes that I've yet to play will change my mind. Currently my expectations have gotten pretty low, so I think it has a chance of still surprising me.

Well, you really ought to finish the game, you'll be in for a surprise.
I would agree that the game is slow to pick up pace and takes a good time to set everything up, and while I didn't mind this at all I can see why people might not like it, but what they're doing in the last episode and the ending with everything they've spent so long setting up is totally worth it. It really is a very unique and cool story.

Spoilers: You actions can cause or prevent a character's suicide. Not really a big deal. But yeah, don't be assholes to people irl.

I guess it all depends on what you've experienced in life. To me personally, I got a lot out of it. Probably a lot of people don't. I understand that.

I did enjoy the game for the most part, I've heard rumours of a season 2 with new characters.
