I sent them an e-mail, with this article linked and the below statement. Nothing else.

"The next time you come in to have your car repaired at my garage, I'll refuse you on the basis that you don't have the right to alter someone elses work to keep it in working order.

I'm sure I can persuade a few electricians and plumbers to do the same.

Grow Up ESA. Grow Up."

Doesn't surprise me. The ESA is really a commercial organization, so they're not going to support this.

This is such a shame, but likely won't change anything and simply is another story we can hold up to show how behind the times the industry can be.
