The major difference to watch out for, that they use to defend themselves, is they lean very very hard on trying to make you self-censor. That way they can say (as with DoA, SFV's animations, and Skullgirls) that it was the company's/creator's own decision.

Also makes it seem like their efforts aren't organised, and makes those not involved with x particular industry think it's just paranoia

Hell, even indie devs can't escape being broiled for years-past "crimes" against the cliques

(also I feel it's highly relevant that she was ignored, and then ostracised, while her games are all the things they normally go gaga for. VNs, all-female RPGs, romances, political bents, and non/anti-violent stories. My hypothesis is they ignore games like that on purpose unless it came from within the clique specifically because the existence of such games demolishes their narrative. She was only "noticed" in 2013 as they finally began reviewing Long Live The Queen, while scrutinising her every move across social media)
