how on earth did this glaring flaw get past the ACCC

This? Not sure how the name of a product like this would fall under their purview though.

Regardless of your opinion, it's still an era-defining first generation Playstation game. Sure, it doesn't support the Dual Analog/DualShock controllers; but the Dual Analogs didn't release until six months after the initial release of FF7. As for the story, much of the reason FF7 still holds a place in many gamers' minds or hearts is because there are very powerful emotional scenes throughout (as well as some very frustrating encounters that are equally memorable). I think some plot lines only feel convoluted or nonsensical because they were cut, unfinished, or lost in translation.

With regards to your technical complaints, I just don't feel they're valid.

Feel free to not like it, but let me pose this question to you: Is there a specific movie from before 1995 that you enjoy more than the average blockbuster that's been put out in the last five years?

If there is, I guarantee its SFX and general cinematography would be considered mediocre at best if released today.

The Music sounds exactly the same.
