I liked the gameplay of Halo 4 more than most previous Halo games, but I think it lacked the compelling story of Halo 1-3, especially 3. The problem is that Halo 3 wrapped things up so nicely that they kind of had to pry the doors back open and come up with a way to continue the story, and I don't think they did a good job of that. By all reviews it sounds like Halo 5 takes the gameplay of Halo 4 and improves it; I think most of this guy's troubles comes from the advent of squad-based co-op and the implementation of the friendly AI, which can make or break a single-player experience.

Why improve upon a turd?

Halo 4 was dumbed down trash that severely lacked any sort of skill gap in the single player or multiplayer, and Halo 5 only really continues upon that trend, but at least Warzone is decent.

Okay, well I've outlined my thoughts on the series so we'll have to agree to disagree.

With Halo 4 as I was playing the game, the new Revenant weapons were pretty awesome in my opinion and the game became fun, but I still had no idea what was going on.

And to be honest, I had no idea what was going on in Halo 2 and 3 as well. The only one that made some sense was 1, since when they made Halo 2, the storyline just got more "cool" without much, just the fact you were playing the sequel was going through your head. That might be a good thing, but it wasn't, it just felt like a big movie full of Cameo's and friendship really. Meh.
