Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

Yeah, I was shocked when this happened too. Most people know that Solar Power Plants work by charging up batteries and then the batteries evenly distribute* the energy to the grid over a period of 24 hours.

Right now on that other "democratic" forum the white knights are trying to convince me that 0 output at night is normal, it makes sense, it's working as intended, and if I don't like it to mod it or go play something else. I just think that if the devs are going to put it in the game, it should work on its own without mods. And if it doesn't work then it should be looked at with an eye to fixing it. I'd accept a 20-30% reduction in power output if it meant viable power (ie. around the clock) but I dunno. The "for every problem, a mod" crowd can be pretty noisy sometimes.

I like city builders to have elements of realism or at least authenticity in them. Losing all solar power at night is really silly.
I do like Colossal Order but they are not beyond criticism. Something the "for every problem, a mod" crowd should remember.
The better the base game works, the better the modding scene is because modders don't have to waste their time fixing the game and can instead focus on doing more interesting things.

Reddit definitely seems to attract the 'defend the people who fucked up' crowd. It's like once they're won over, they'll defend a company/product/person until the end of time, no matter how many times they do something wrong. The devs of CS seem to have done a wonderful job with their game for the most part, but that definitely doesn't mean they're immune to criticism.
Hopefully the devs will see comments like yours and fix these issues instead of just brushing it off with the same response as Reddit's 'modders will fix it' bullshit.

Nope.
