Big Banished fan here.

First off, Banished feels like an uncompleted game initially if you have ever played rts games. You keep on looking for the buildings and tech to start construction of military units. Or wonder when are the enemy going to attack. In this game's case... never.

The game starts of with a small farming community which you must grow by expanding the farms and building basic industries. And that's it.

Just survive winter, famine, cholera and an unforseen demographic crisis where all your women are too old to have children and Bob's your uncle.

Great Game. Enjoy!

Plus one for Banished from me. It's Cities if CIties was made by the Dark Souls people. That's the best way to describe it. Bleak, inhospitable, hard, and totally worth it.

I loved Banished for a while, but it didn't seem to have much to it. Especially considering I haven't seen any new content in ages. Still, I might go back and play it again in the near future.

Yeah, I have to agree. I've started playing it in the past couple days. It's been fun, but with nothing really to aim for after awhile, I'm finding myself just intervening every now and then to add a mine or a quarry. My town is fully sustainable with a strong ale industry for exports, but there's nothing really for me to do now. Just sitting around for that 200 year achievement.

I really hope they update the game or expand on the idea in a future sequel. Lot's of potential, that's for sure.

That would be cool... "Ohhh no fucking barbarians!" or, "Ohhh shit, syphalis, and brothels, and civil unrest!"
