What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

Woop dee doo it's still a garbage game. The fact that they're making this an "expansion" is abhorrent.

What don't you like about the game? I've been having a good time with it, but I would like to see your side of the coin.

not him but the issue with the game, is after you hit a certain amount of hours, the grind becomes unreal, everything you did to earn credits you learn to hate, powerplay doesn't introduce any reason to keep playing at all rewards those who can dump the most money into it. A lot of broken promises, holding hands of those who aren't exactly good and balancing around them. They push out a new patch that breaks old mechanics that had been working since the first beta.

I'm excited for this, but at the same time worried that the planets will mostly be baron waste lands.

That would be consistent with the rest of the game...

So in other words, it will make Elite Dangerous like No Man's Sky, except the planets are not procedurally generated.

Expect they are in ED, they basically give them some structure to position and maybe set certain types. But ED is a lost cause of a good space sim.

I hope that the expansion can revitalize my interest in this game. It is bloody expensive though. Costs as much as the base game!

It's the new base game. So people who never bought E:D get E:D for free, and now get Horizons! Those of us that paid in early get to pay twice, or pony up 200 bucks for the expansion pass.

There's a pretty big flaw with that. The game was supposed to be an awesome space sim. Instead of making it that, they're changing it completely now.

I just purchased this game three weeks ago and I've already done every variant of mission this game has to offer, and now they want me to pony up $45 for an expansion? Congratulations Frontier Developments, you just convinced me to wait for No Mans Sky.
One thing it does have going for it - Elite Dangerous is one of the prettiest screensavers I've ever played.

So like KSP?

People seem fairly upset over the price tag and lack of basegame content before an expansion. They are also upset over new purchasers of the game not having to buy the expansion separately while current owners do have to.
I'm not too sure on the first point but I feel pretty sour about the second one.
