Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

Welcome back!
Let me look through my Steam library and see what's worth picking up on PC... Well, speaking about more recent games, there's Rocket League; it's also available on Playstation 4 and right now, it's one of my favorite games. Everybody's playing it, and I think it'll be the next big thing. What it is, essentially, is a soccer game with racecars. It's absurd, and it's a whole lot of fun!
If you're into adventure games you might want to check out To the Moon, it's a short tearjerker about going inside a man's mind near the end of his life in order to re-arrange his memories and let him live the life he wanted. It's not nearly as dystopic as it sounds!
If you want something free and fast, there's 404Sight, it's a parkour game about net neutrality and it's pretty fun! Also, it works with a controller IIRC.
Another game that boasts controller support is Pac-Man: Championship Edition- it's a really awesome remix of Pac-Man and it's currently available for a buck in the latest Humble Bundle. You might've already played it on the 360, but I'm bringing it up just in case- it's really a fantastic game.
Are you more of a tactical RPG guy? Check out The Banner Saga; developed by Stoic, it's based on Viking mythology; it features a great story, soundtrack, and good gameplay. It's a little on the short side (either that, or I couldn't control myself when I marathoned it!) but it's really well made. The decisions you make in the game really make a difference to the story, which I appreciate.
As somebody else mentioned, Cities: Skylines is a great city-builder if you're into that sort of thing; there's also the Civilization series which is still going strong. Sid Meier's Civilization V is great, but if you get it make sure that you get the complete edition of the game with all the DLC- it makes a big difference. Sid Meier's Beyond Earth is pretty good, though it has been criticized for lacking personality- and it's probably going to be worth picking up when fully expanded by DLC, so you might want to hold off on it for now.
If you really need a turn-based strategy fix, try picking up Endless Legend, it's a bit more like a fantasy version of Civilization in a postapocalyptic setting, it's quite good.
If you're into rather rogueish RPGs, you might want to check out FTL: Faster Than Light- I wrote about what other games can learn from it a while back, in spite of the fact that I've never beaten it, it's one of my favorite games! I'll win... One day.
More of a shmup guy? Try Gamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony, it's a shooter with a lot of personality. Essentially, it retells of a story of American colonization with Mars... It's a kind of strange take on history, but it's a whole lot of fun.
If you want an adventure game with controller support, there's Kentucky Route Zero- it's an extremely subdued sort of game that's hard to described without spoiling, but it has one of the coolest stories that I've ever seen in a game, it's well worth trying.
McDroid is another favorite of mine- it's wonderful but also very underrated- in McDroid, you play as a robot strawberry farmer defending your crop from giant alien worms. It's rather frantic and boasts online co-op. I wrote a review of it here.
I also made a top ten list of games that were worth getting in the Steam Summer Sale this year; you may want to keep it handy as these games will be on sale later in the year too! I hope my suggestions help :)

Just grabbed "to the moon". A very amazing game an hour into it. I'll definitely be going through your other suggestions. At the moment I've gotten so many I'm just trying to start with what sounds the most interesting. Thanks a million. A good video game suggestion is difficult to come by and you have certainly given me that.

I'm happy you're enjoying it :D If you follow my site on socmed (if you use it, RSS if you're old-school) you'll see a bunch of other stuff we recommend as it comes up :) If you enjoy To the Moon, you'll want to check out A Bird Story, it's by the same dev and it's a cute, brief game about nursing an injured bird back to health.
Also, there's quite a typo in my list; I said Gamestown, the name of the game is actually Jamestown!
