There's all this atmosphere in the background and mention of Russia and old Russia things, but the dialogue is boldly not participating with the theme of the game. It's even using contemporary American slang, and popular incorrect word usage. This really gays things up because I was hella ready to get some insight into the past
There's also even White Knight shit where the main character tries saving some whore on a train... That implies so much about the background of the story that it completely disqualifies it from ostensibly being narrative from Soviet Russia.
It's like the only quality control for the writing is thst they throw in a "Russia word" every few sentences. They'll say a Russian name or refer to the snow (because Russia has a lot of snow AMIRITE? if there's one thing about Russia, it's snow) or say one clearly non-english word.
Aren't all games moving towards a revision of history though? This game probably accidentally derped, but I heard games were going to be written to miseducate people about history
