What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

Does anyone really care at this point?

SURE DO! Care like a motherfucker. And, in this guy's defense, the points he makes are valid.

Well, at least one it's finally released people will shut the fuck up about it.

With other games like Duke Nukem Forever showing what can happen when a game is so highly expected for so long, I can't imagine anyone being completely satisfied with Half Life 3 no matter how good it is. On the other hand, Doom 4 looks rather amazing to me and I will be picking that up at launch. Doom 3 was released just a few months before Half Life 2. We now know that Doom 4 had already been worked on for a number of years before ID decided to scrap it and start over. Perhaps the same thing has been going on with Half Life 3, but something tells me we would have seen actual leaked information by now. This tells me that Valve hasn't started development on HL3 yet.

I'm always confused as to when people say that Half-Life 3 won't live up to their expectations. Are your expectations going up the longer you wait? I'm fairly confident that Half-Life 3 will live up to my expectations because all my expectations are is a good FPS that finishes the story of Gordon Freeman.

I really love the fact how HL3 is dead one day, and then very much alive the day after...

It's turning into the Schrödinger's cat of video games.

Or "Duke Nukem Forever" for that matter :P

It's that time of year when the gaming news is all tried up and nothing is coming out that the Half life 3 stories come out.

Eh, sounds like bullshit I'll believe when Valve actually says they're making it, not a response to a shit video about "a rumor to report" as if that's worth reporting.

I like how Valve let's their employee's be as flexible as they need to be, but holy hell the couple things wrong with their system is just asking for a collapse in management, or the last thereof.

Since what I think is "never", I suppose any time would make that statement correct
