Gamergate is about the shitty quality of journalists in the gaming industry. Journalist that could be bought out or given a blowjob to give shit teir games high scores. It is about the integrity of scoring games accurately and not taking bribes. It was quickly spun to be a bullshit diverisity thing, probably because quinn gave out more blowjobs.

Remember kids, GamerGate isn't about corruption in gaming journalism, because corrupt game journalists tell me it is about evil white men who just want to randomly attack womynz and POC game developers for invading their space.

And I agree 110% with you, except in this case the shitposter is a well-known feminist piece of shit who hates the white man with a fury and intensity greater than any Voater could possibly muster for any non-white which I dare say is ironic. It's personal for her as she is part of the shit-tier journalism industry that is at the core of GamerGate.

I remember following Giant Bomb around the early 2010s. Those guys were unique and reputable in that they made their own website after giving the finger to advertiser influence and corporate greed. They had a strong podcast, great camaraderie, a user-generated game database, and arguably the first big Let's Play videos. In 2011, they get into Time's "Top 100 Websites," which gets them enough clout to get bought out by Whiskey Media, bringing in a few golden years of the website.

A few years pass by and Whiskey Media gets bought out by corporate giant CBS. CBS says, "Oh, this Gamergate/SJW stuff is getting trendy! Let's push it all so we get more clicks!" Giant Bomb then becomes a shadow of its former-self as the crew is forced cater to Zoe Quinn and Anita Sarkeesian. They even started refusing to review/cover certain games (Kingdom Come: Deliverance) because they didn't want to align themselves with a medieval game that "didn't have colored people or strong female characters." It's sad because the original Giant Bomb crew most likely did not care about any of this bullshit (especially Ryan Davis who passed away before the liberal shitstorm began); they just got swept away in the tide. They're still up and running, but that original raunchy, down-to-earth, dude-bro atmosphere is long-gone.

GamerGate means nothing, video games don't need politics, and I'm ashamed to know these details.
