It says on their faq that any months of Xbox Live Gold up to 36 months will be converted into Xbox Game pass ultimate months. If I go buy two years of Xbox live and then join Ultimate all those months would of been $5 a month instead of $14.99 a month. Anyone else come to this conclusion? Here is what is written in the faq.
"Q: What happens to my prepaid months of Xbox Live Gold and/ or Xbox Game Pass for console when I join the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Plan?
A: When you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, we will apply any prepaid time you have on Xbox Live Gold and/ or Xbox Game Pass for console toward Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, up to a maximum of 36 months.
For example, if you have 3 months of Xbox Live Gold and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for console already on your account when you purchase your first month of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, you will have a total of 7 months of Ultimate on your account before you need to renew your membership."
Edit:I messed up. I bought two 12 month cards a 6 month and a 3 month card. Every time you add a card it gives you a free month. So I bought the 3 card for nothing. Just convince Amazon to give me a refund on the 3 month digital card. lol So now I'm topped off with live for 36 months.
Anyways just subscribed to Ultimate and it totally works. So if you are going to do it anyways might as well get a discount on it.

I've been playing Outer Wilds on Gamepass. Damn good game. Had to go through a long Windows 10 update to get PC gamepass working but there are some good games on there too.
