What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

Or better yet just use an emulator on your pc with a controller, most consoles from before 2006 have emulators that are almost perfect.
I ripped most all of my childhood video games to my hard-drive and still play them occasionally, only now I play them at 1080p and 60fps on a 25'' screen.

why is the n64 so problematic? It's been a year or two since I've messed around with them, but the 64 always has problems.

Really? Most of the games I play are PS2 and GC titles so I can't speak much of the n64 front but from what I have seen Mupen64Plus works fine.
What emulator are you using? Are you sure you have the settings right? I have found that with some games little tweaks and fixes make a huge difference so if a particular title is giving you problems I would search your emulators wiki for tips.
