What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

Are you serious? It's absolutely a detriment. Nobody wins that way. I spent considerable money on my computer, there is no reason I shouldn't be able to use it. If you didn't, that's perfectly fine too. Set a cap yourself, use Vsync, whatever. A good game will give you these options. Don't enforce 30 fps for PC games ever. There is absolutely no reason to do so anymore.

How?
All you've effectively said is "it's bad because I paid more money"

No that's not what I've said and you know it. Quite conversely, you have failed to make a logically sound point while willfully ignoring mine.
Oh my goodness, it is bad because it is good for nobody. If your machine can't do 60 or whatever, then set your cap yourself. Say my machine can, why should I play the game at 30 fps? What advantage could there possibly be to that? There is none. That is not opinion, that is not subjective, it is math, numbers, fact.
