Not to sound like a dick, but I’m interested in how you believe Telltale destroyed the gaming community.

From where I was sitting, the company may have gone woke, but it was happening quietly behind the scenes. It only manifested its wokeness publicly on a few occasions, once when they publicly admitted to sexist hiring practices, which was pretty shitty, but not particularly outstanding compared to the rest of the industry, and a handful of times during the very death rattle of the company by a social media intern who probably saw the writing on the wall and figured they could get away with it.

Where was the SJW impact in the games? What was Telltale’s “Gone Home?” Its “Life is Strange?” I don’t recall their magnum opus to SJW ideals.

Or did they hijack your favorite IP and ruin it? I don’t think there’s ever been a good Walking Dead game outside of Telltale’s, and Rocksteady fucked Batman long before Telltale got the license.

Or maybe it was unethical practices that justifies it. Which telltale game had all the lootboxes again? The always online DRM? The $100 legendary edition that comes with a pair of alternate skins and effectively nothing else? What about preorder bonuses? Yeah, what a shitty game company. They really ruined gaming for all of us.

I think there are plenty of companies that are far more deserving of complete failure. The full blown SJWs like Fullbright and Naughty Dog; the lying liars like Hello Games; the sleazy scammers like EA and Ubisoft: fuck them all. Telltale pales compared to them all. But I see too many people taking far too much satisfaction from the death of a company whose only crimes seem to be 1) producing games they weren’t interested in, and 2) as the ship was already going down, hired on blue hairs to take the wheel and told them to stay the course as they were booking it to he nearest life raft.

The only thing I have to say about Telltale is that they promoted laziness in choice based games where choice doesn't mean shit in the end and comes down to 2 options regardless of how many small micro-choices you made. Playing games like Until Dawn and more recently Detroit Become Human really opened my eyes on to just how great a game in this genre can be and how stupid Telltale and even Dontnod is when it comes to how to actually do a choice matters ending.

Fair enough. I’ve mentioned recently that the quality of their games has dropped since TWD, and they never really found a suitable gameplay component to fill in the meat of the games beyond good writing.

I like Until Dawn, but I recall it was an extremely large game in comparison to anything from telltale, and it wasn’t really a commercial success either.

Where was the SJW impact in the games?

Clementine being an ugly mutt?? Which makes them more SJW than Life is Strange which had a fuckable Max or The Last of Us with a fuckable Ellie. Not to mention TWD nigger male protag and white family cannibals is literally pro-white genocide propaganda right there.

Purposely made ugly female protag is hardcore SJWism (remember Mass Effect 3?). Definitely worse than just "independent wahmen" trope.

I think there are plenty of companies that are far more deserving of complete failure.

I guess you have never seen Telltale wahmen employee photos thats floating around online. Telltale definitely deserve of complete failure, independent of all the other shit companies. Just because EA deserves to burn and die doesn't mean that Telltale doesn't.
