What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

I like Europa Universalis.
So exploitable.

paradox makes some good games that are classed as 4x games. the thing is that I only tend to stay with them for a bit. I tend to find a strategy that works and it becomes hard not to play that instead of investing so many hours into trying others out or as a feature of 4x games they run long and have downtime in them so are not as much fun for a group of friends playing together in the same room as we get distracted talking miss when the break ends and die (essentially because the game was more boring then just talking to each other).

Stellaris followed by Hearts of Iron (modded with real Germany of course).

Europa Universalis 3 followed by Battletech, but that was only published by them.

You can play 1.9 version of Stellaris via launcher though

I actually like the latest release of Stellaris better than it's predecessors. Sure, I miss warp and wormhole travel, but other than that I find it more enjoyable. What is it that you hate about Armageddon?

The first time I played it I tried to kill my brother, had sex with my older girl cousin and had to kill Muslims in order to expand. Yes, Crusader Kings 2 is my favorite.

I call that a fine weekend.
