Not by choice man, it was gifted to me at one point.

I have it installed and updated. There is a game there to be played and fly around in but it is far from complete. I don't defend it and call it out all the time on here. Just giving them the only credit they have basically. At least there is a space to play in, it could be worse, they could still just be showing videos.

I got it gifted to me by a hardcore backer. I will say that the flight mechanics are pretty good and the stuff that exists is gorgeous.

I'd be content with just getting the single player complete and playing that whenever the mood strikes me, but it seems that they're going for an all-or-nothing approach.

Biggest problem with SC is that the people behind designing it don't know the meaning of 'good enough'. At one point you have to realize that you can't make everything photo realistic and expect to build an open world game in a reasonable time frame. Gamers these days don't really give a fuck about graphics any more. We're reached a point where PS3 graphics are 'good enough' for most people.

When it first came out I really wanted to. It was gonna be the next best game for life! I never had an extra 100 bucks to just throw at it though and never actually made the purchase. Really glad I didn't, that was over 5 years ago now I believe and I don't enjoy gaming as much as I used to. It just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

At this point currently, lighting and effects make a much greater difference on the look of a game than increased polygon count

I was a kickstarter, with ~800USD worth of ships. I refunded my main account three years ago, when it became apparent that this fucking game will never be playable.

It's a fucking laugh, man. THey have four studios in three countries, across 15 time zones, and no game.

I still have an original starter package, but I don't run windoze anymore, and SC is not Wine friendly.

I can understand backing it at the start. $50-100 maybe. But holy shit it's slimy now.

It was exciting, inthe begining. If they had just made the game they pitched, all would be good. But they decided to act like a successful company, with crazy world wide offices, instead.

I had shit tonnes of money when it was pitched, so I spent enthusiatically. I'm no where near a lot of other zealots, though. I think concierge level is a mininmum 1kUSD spend.

I'll keep my solo ship account, but I don't expect to ever actually play the game.

EMPTY SANDBOX

Thats what we call it. It does nothing elite dangerous didn't already do.

I sitll dont understand why some people have spent >$150 on a ship that has been promised to them in the future.. in a game system they've never played!

I joined an arma group a while ago and the owner of it was completely delusional about this game. I mean. he's rich (business owner or something) but still. I think he's invested a couple k already.

I don't understand how you can be a business owner and be that retarded. Must be a government contractor.
