I simply do not understand why someone would make a complaint about the game's nudity. Don't buy it then, don't apply the uncensor patch. Lock your steam account with age restrictions. I am sick to death of people attempting to control what others have access to. Fricken moral busybodies, go to Australia if you want a nanny state where this kind of stuff is banned.

SJWs are a species that need to die out like fucking neanderthals. Fucking waste of space. Charge them a carbon tax for all the toxicity they spew out from their disgusting mouths.

Neanderthal DNA is actually beneficial. Black people don't have it, which is why their average intelligence is lower.

Perhaps there was a targeted effort that rode the tag and complained about every single one

Sounds like Steam just wants to het rid of those games. It's a standard tactic which I've seen admins on reddit use to ban subreddits:

  • Cite a complaint without revealing its source
  • Say your content is in violation of the rules
  • Give a time limit to comply
  • Rules are vague and requests for clarification about which specific parts are in violation are ignored
  • The ban happens no matter what action is taken to attempt to comply

Also selective enforcement of said rules. They may use them as grounds to ban further content, but most likely they will pick out certain titles and games belonging to specific companies that they don't want on Steam.

No, it means these developers are faggots who should take a class on contract negotiation.

All they need to do is accept the demand to comply, on the condition that the steps to rectify are further delineated/clarified on their side within 10 days. Oh, and state that if they don't respond, that the matter will be considered closed.

This discharges their time table, and replaces it with your own timetable. The hot potato is in their hands, and if they sit too long, their little nastygram expires into bubbles, Thanos-style.

Edit: Downvoated by those that have never taken a class on contract negotiation, or filed a lawsuit pro se. Idiots.

And then on day 15 you disappear from the system along with 80% of your revenues. There is zero reason that Steam has to accept your additional conditions. So after their 2 week timetable, they just cut you off because you haven't complied.

I am sure a small indie dev has the neccesary funds to start giving conditions and demands of a near monopoly sized company or threaten lawsuit.

While correct that method can't work when the difference in size is so absurd. Maybe if Valve took GTA 5 off Rockstar could try that but otherwise you would have better luck in getting a angry mob to start harassing Valve.

Christ, isn't HuniePop relatively tame?

Yep. No nudity at all if I recall correctly. There is a patch to uncensor the content though. The same can't be said of AAA games like Witcher 3.

You can buy it directly from the developer on their website. No patching necessary to decensor our sweet anime tiddies.

Very much so. Some lewd dialogue, boobs and panty collecting. Serious enough to lock it down. It’s mainly just a puzzle game and far tamer than other stuff I’ve seen around.

The non-steam version has a small amount of nudity by default. The steam version doesn't even have nudity unless you apply a patch.

It's a shit game, and even porn parts aren't even mediocre at their best. Why did it get popular again? Is it because people have shit taste?

Woo-hoo. Let's remove anything vaguely interesting from our good, Christian online retailer. After all, you can always replace it with the infinite supply of shitty walking simulators.

GOOD, I'm sick of wadding through that crap when I'm trying to find the newest games where I can just sling drugs and murder people!!!

We looked into the guidelines Steam currently lists surrounding this topic and found they are exceptionally vague. Instead, as one of ten points which includes Hate Speech and content you don’t own, Pornography is listed as something you cannot publish on Steam, lacking any further details on what they consider when deciding what to allow or not.

Of course they're vague, because if they sat down and tried to craft concrete rules about what is and isn't allowed, they'd end up either having to ban games that large numbers of people actually care about, or allow these smaller games that can more easily be the target of various SJW groups, which frankly have remarkably tame content. They'd also have to finally own up to saying "You can brutally torture a guy in GTA V, or kill a million guys in a million different increasingly realistic ways in basically any game ever, and the average gamer is in his 30s now, but if you see a female nipple that's too much."

But how can Valve benefit from banning certain anime games with tits?

I assume because either there's been an internal shift at Valve and the person/people now in control over those things think drawings of naked girls are sexist or something along those lines, or they've become more sensitive to outside groups that believe the same thing. The fact that they aren't, to the best of my knowledge, being transparent with anyone about why they're doing what they're doing suggests to me something along those lines. If it was just "paypal is making us do it", wouldn't they want to just say so, so they could be absolved of all guilt? And wouldn't they be interested in communicating effectively with these developers? Further, giving such a short deadline suggests they're happy to just remove the games instead of giving them a fair chance to comply, which would be consistent with "I think these games are icky and want them banned as long as they're small-time enough that I can get away with it"- such a person wouldn't really want them to comply by making minor changes, they'd just want them gone. And we know there are people at Valve who think along those lines- Gabe had to step in personally to allow Hatred.

So actual games get removed while asset flips continue to multiply exponentially. I am so glad I went back to not giving this hobby anymore of my money.
