What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

on ps1 you could remove the game disc for a lot of games after the level loaded and throw any cd in to play your own music. headsets could be used to communicate in online games (online games had been on console already (albeit without voice communication) but it was niche and ps1 helped make it more mainstream).

Did you ever play Monster Rancher? The game would actually have you take out the CD from the playstation and put another one in it so it could read it and then it would spawn you a new monster based on the disc data. It could be any kind of CD like music or other games. I went through every CD I owned lol.

Quake 2 on PC used CD audio as well. Probably other PC games did but that's the only one I ever noticed.
