Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.

From reading the comments here this game sounds fucking awesome lol

Basically they spent a bit of time on graphics, and a TON of time creating a 'life in rural Finland 1995' simulation. Except with an abnormally high amount of ways to die!
The game is basically trying to get you to NOT fix the damn car in your garage. It is saying "Why not drink beers, drive around way too fast (in a van) and see the country side?"
And who can forget the phone ringing in the middle of the night/early morning, only to have some random drunk guy ask if you can pick him up from the bar? No thanks, I'm not risking my only functioning vehicle and my life for some drunk stranger!

I bought it a few weeks ago. The Wiring patch completely screwed me up, though, and I haven't been able to get my car to start again. I'm pretty sure I have everything wired properly (even used the editor to confirm), but it just won't turn over. I think I'm going to have to grab a new battery the next time I get around to playing, because no matter how long I leave it on the charger, it doesn't seem to matter.
A friend of mine who's a car guy recommended I get it to learn car shit without having the money to spend on car shit to learn car shit.

I was fitting the engine the other day, when the lights went out. LOL Right at the end of the day I was trying to push the car out of the garage, I think to fit the last door on (which was acting up) and I ended up pushing the car so that one wheel was in the damn pit. Tried to fix it and ended up flipping the car on its side... OK. I called it a day. God knows at what point I last saved it.
I am currently on the wiring. Wish me luck!

Make sure you check, and double check that you filled the radiator. The first time I tried starting up, I thought I topped off everything, but forgot the radiator. Queue one of my pistons giving my garage a skylight, and half of my bearings ending up in the lake.

Update on how I got my car started again.
The patch stole my spark plugs.

I originally pirated it, and liked it so much I bought a legit copy. I played the hell out of it for a while, but could never get my car to start up.

I have really been enjoying it, although it is clearly meant to frustrate the shit out of you. I was walking my dog(s) today and I started laughing out loud thinking of Finnish curse words.
I have almost finished assembling the car, have to do wiring (yay) and top up fluids, and then cross the fingers, I s'pose.
I was constantly maxing out in 'stress' so figured I had to learn how to use the sauna, but came back to a raging inferno. JFC. Used the editor to reverse the damage because after all the work on the car that is not fair of the game to do me like that! I certainly learnt my lesson though.
So I decide it is time to earn some money (spent all the time so far working on the car, after one store run), empty a septic tank, decide to go to town and see if more septic tanks need to be emptied and I start fiddling with the radio. Look up and I am slightly in the wrong lane with a truck screaming towards me. Swerve back into my lane and... No. Still dead.
