I'm okay with this, actually. I think punishing cheaters by setting the odd example here and there is a worthy cause.

I have a hard time caring about piracy, but cheaters in online multiplayer games should ideally be tortured slowly to death, revived, then tortured slowly to death again, the cycle repeating until they can't be revived any further.

Except they're going after him for copyright violation, which he explicitly did not commit. They're trying to get a ruling that any EULA violation is copyright violation, which has wide reaching consequences.

The fact that that you're so blinded with rage by a child cheating at a game proves that their plan is working, nobody likes cheaters so it makes it easier to strip everyone's rights by targeting cheaters first.

I suspect you'll change your tune when it's you being "tortured slowly to death, revived, then tortured slowly to death again, the cycle repeating until they can't be revived any further." because you didn't read page 871 of the EULA that let's the CEO of EPIC rape your family.

Right? It fucking scary that they can just revoke the license with out a word then charge you with copyright infringement, the DMCA needs to be removed now.

Ease up killer, it's possible that I wasn't being entirely serious in my response.

In reality I actually think that online cheaters should only be tortured quickly to death, once.

Lawyers are satan spawn, EULAs are bullshit, agreed. Cheaters suck too, though.

Butthurt detected. If you keep losing it doesn't mean that they cheat. It means that you suck.

Nah, I know I suck. I've seen cheats in online games that were pretty obvious (e.g. killing people from across the map with no sight line as they spawn).

Cheating in online games is rampant, pointless, and obnoxious. There's no upside to it, I'm all for any efforts to stomp it out.
