What is the decided on topic of gamergate, I always assumed it was that the gaming media was full of liars and untrustworthy is that the wrong interpretation? It seems to change or have multiple things that can be called the cause of gamergate depending on the discussion.

it was falsified game reports by reporters sleeping with game developers. SJWs jumped on the side of developer cause she was a girl in tech.

Madden kinda bombed last year. That's why you can scoop it for about 20 bucks now.

Blizzard is going after pro gamer Sinatraa for a tweet with a pepe meme in it. If a cosplayer whore MeToo's Sinatraa similar to Christine Sprankle we're in for the fight of our lives. Buckle up.

IMO the video game development has really tanked over the last several years. The big titles are just the same game on repeat (FIFA, Madden, CoD, etc.). Then of course there's the bs like Watchdogs and others where the advertised product is nothing like what was released. Half assed games like Assassin's Creed being released and patched along the way. Increasing micro transactions where ever they can fit them in. Why the fuck would I spend $60 on an "AAA" title when the industry is spitting in the face of consumers?

Then there was The Witcher 3, Cuphead and Kingdom Come Deliverance and various smaller indie games. Just gotta avoid EA and Ubi mostly, be patient, read user reviews, look at gameplay videos, if you aren't sure.

There will never be another video game crash. The last time it could happen because a significant part of the market was owned by a few companies, so games production was seriously hindered when they went belly-up.

Nowadays, PC gaming is widespread enough and self-publishing is easy enough that another crash is all but impossible.

I know that people love to act like they live in the end times, but it's just not going to happen.

I’ve dropped playing most all games now for about 6 months or so. Have to admit my mood has improved and I’ve picked up different hobbies that feel more rewarding. That’s what happens when shit gets too political.
