People look at me like I filled my pants with shit when they're recommending me a game and I ask if it has Linux support.

So what. You'd have to be a fool to run Windows on something that isn't a dedicated gaming only machine these days. Even then, don't leave your microphone or cam attached to it. It'll probably still hash all files across your LAN too. Technology is no joke these days.

They specifically commented on this. They said releasing for every platform at once was too much effort for FTL, so they're doing it in pieces this time instead. Linux will be supported later

It looks good, but already I can see them dropping in lefty politics: Like you're fighting to protect refugees in a world destroyed by climate change.

Nah, their previous game had zero politics in it, and this one is the same way. The game is very thematic, but light on backstory.

There were a couple of things in FTL, but generally it's pretty easy to ignore, same with this.

Ben Prunty was anti-GG, not sure about the rest of their team.

Justin Ma and Matthew Davis are glued to the computers in their Shanghai apartments. Sitting in dark rooms lit by the glow of their monitors, the game developers watch their screens in disbelief. They've just launched a Kickstarter campaign for their game FTL: Faster Than Light.

Shanghai apartment. Devs are probably not libtarded piece of shits then. As long they don't post political left "feel good" bullshit on twitter then they're cool

Remember to stay away from the supporters of "western progressive" movement aka never even give a cent for liberal devs.

There are a lot of SJWs moving to east Asia. Not sure why there specifically, but it's a bit of a trend.

Ben Prunty was anti-GG and made some tweets about it, not sure about the rest of the team, but they got a fair amount of coverage from the usual suspects, so it's probably safe to say they were in the same circles.

I really want to buy this game. FTL was great and this seems to be getting praise from everyone that has actually played it!

It is very much a different game, but still a fun game. I'm not so sure it will have the same amount of replayability as FTL (few games do), but I'm okay with that.

I'm enjoying this game as well. I like that there's no RNG, there's just finding the most optimal way to beat a map.
