Two things can come from all these rumors and nether is good. 1) You ruin the surprise of announcements coming from the Direct. 2) The rumors are wrong and your favorite announcement was a false rumor leaving you dissapointed.

Why do people feel the need to ruin these things?

Report: Dark Souls 1 Remastered for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC Being Announced Today | Kotaku UK

'As part of this Nintendo Direct, Dark Souls Remastered will be revealed, updating the original game to be playable portably for the first time. '

' The Dark Souls Remaster will be launching in May on all platforms. '

'A few hours later it will be announced that Dark Souls Remastered is also coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. These ports are being handled by a separate company from the Switch port, and will feature rebuilt lighting and SFX based on Dark Souls 3, as well as upscaled textures. '

'According to multiple sources, both in development and retail, in the next few hours Nintendo will announce a Nintendo Direct Mini to air shortly afterwards showing 2018 software for Switch. ', "One of our sources indicates that Bandai Namco plans to bring all three Dark Souls games to Switch eventually, but the oft-rumoured 'trilogy' bundle is not how this will be happening – yet."

This has been an automated message.

The switch is just awful. Outdated hardware and gimicky handheld hybred.

Honestly I see Nintendo going the route of Sega in the not to distant future.

It's also the fasted selling console ever, outselling the Wii in the US and the PS2 in Japan within the same timeframe.

I guess it shows that raw power isn't enough to get people interested in consoles, especially since they will always lag behind PC in that regard anyway.

its a fucking tablet running propietary nintendo software that also happens to dock to your tv.nothing magical or special about it.now the games that are coming for it is where the fun is at, i can agree with that

Not everything needs to be the most cutting edge technology.

The combination of docking the main unit to have it as hand held or TV based and the flexibility of the controllers make it a unique system, one that fills the 'fun' gap which I think Nintendo should never move away from.

Serious gaming will always be done on PCs with the PS4s and Xboxeseses trying to copy, but for the fun type of gaming, especially casual gaming, the Switch does a great job.

Nintendo console are designed to make money for the company not lost it. That is why every hardware console they make is under powered. It cost the company less to produce the produce and they actually make profit off the sale. Xbox and PlayStation consoles loose money for Microsoft and Sony for the first few years before they start seeing any profit from console sales. This is why Nintendo is here to stay, they make profit an tons of it.
