Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

Its still going to sell millions and EA is going to make a shit ton of money. Barely anybody will boycott and the loot box practice will continue because they've finally found something more profitable than on disc dlc and microtransactions (but they will continue to include those as well). This is how gaming is now.

I haven't played any decent indie games in forever; most seem half-baked. But I've also stopped buying any AAA games (excluding the Witcher) and I think there's more like me. Eventually game devs might figure this shit out and make decent games again.

Mark my words, 100 years from now, "normal" white men would mostly play games made in non-politically correct libtard nations.
It's not just Japanese devs getting more and more "western" market share, these days you even have white men buying "made in china" games through steam and it's not even western culture or whatever. Also politically wrong european country would churn more and more games at it will be much more appealing to normal men because they are good old games adhering to traditional culture.
Because at this rate, RPG made by the "progressive west" in the future wouldn't allow you to select straight male as a main character, and all the heroines are all fat and ugly, with darker than black skin, and were former men.

Except for the fact that they own every major IP that there is and they will never give them up. I agree that some smaller studios are putting out some quality stuff. Larian recently released Divinity: Original Sin 2 which is one of the best RPGs ever made. Even still, it will never make even half as much as the next shitty Mass Effect.
And anything indie that's even remotely successful will have EA and Activision throwing their wallets at it to acquire it so they can destroy it.
I have to give credit to whoever came up with the loot box system though. Its so terribly evil and just unimaginabley profitable.

This happened because a few years ago Activision tried to raise their COD price to $80 or something along those lines. Gamers were furious, it was looking like they might actually band together and boycott. They abandoned the idea and went for cosmetic purchases afaik.
