I think the whole walking simulator genre is fucking clown shoes. The only one I genuinely enjoyed was the Stanley Parable and that is because it plays like a subversive choose tour own adventure book where the dozens of endings tie into and build on each other.

Stanley Parable was a great walking simulator. It was great trying to "break" the game only for it to account for you trying to break it. As difficult as it would be, I would love another game like that on a larger scale. I bet the branching paths would exponentially explode though.

Stanley Parable has a good comedic value as well.

Yea, it was the closet endings that made me fall in love with the game. The one where you stand in the closet pissing off the narrator until he gives you a game over, then do it again, then the third time you walk by the area you see the closet door nailed shut. I went out and bought a copy after that sequence.
