What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

This post is actually against rule 3 of /v/gaming's community rules, but it's so highly upvoted I'd like to seriously reconsider whether rule 3 is desired by the community anymore.
Edit: Discussion here; please weigh in!

I think the rule should depend on whether a 'meme' is conveying any facts or new information. This for example has informed us that this upcoming game will not have the Swastika in it.

That is an interesting take. Thank you!

No apology necessary and I didn't mean to put you down; I'm just thinking out loud about rule 3 and its place in the community and whether it's something that's still wanted. I think it's important that the sidebar rules reflect the community's wishes, and a popular post like this is a good indicator that we should have some renewed discussion about rule 3.
What I'll do is make a dedicated discussion post about rule 3 and get the community's opinion on whether or not it's still wanted as a sidebar rule. Whatever the outcome is, I'm leaving this post alone because it's obviously quite popular and not catching it early enough is my fault, not yours. Let me know if I can help with anything, and happy gaming!
