There are still good games being made but they are from Mid-sized/Indie studios. AAA games these days are made to appeal to as wide a crowd as possible, everyone will like it, no one will love it. There are some rare exceptions like Witcher 3, but then again they are eastern european.

Western based AAA games are generic shit that you have played a thousand times before. If you want to play something you will really enjoy you need to look a bit deeper than the games that are massively advertised.

God Bless you. I'm planning on the same, if I ever end up having children they will only ever play games leading up to the 6th generation. No way they'll ever be exposed to the mindcancer of the 7th onward.

People don't make games like Voodoo Vince, Jet Set Radio, KOTOR, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Freedom Fighters, Deus Ex, Silent Hill 3 and FUCKING SHENMUE 2 anymore HOLY FUCK WHAT IS WRONG WITH HUMANITY? I'm playing Final Fantasy XV and I feel like it's so lacking, everything on the PS4 is so lacking. This feeling started with the 7th generation but has only gotten worse and hell, the 7th had Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge (also The Darkness is an underrated masterpiece). Something has seriously gone wrong with the gaming industry.

Voodoo Vince recently got a remastered version on Steam. I'm just pointing this out because you are likely to be the only person who has mentioned that game in over ten years. It was a good one.

Kotor and kotor2 are amazing. Kreia is a great teacher.
