What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!
If you wish to, you can archive your posts here.

Any info about where one could find this board game? My wife is a huge board game fan and we are both Trekkies

Noble Knight Games is where you want to check for old out-of-print board games and RPGs. They have a copy but it's pretty pricey.

That is a link to the OLD original pocket booklets. The current version of the game is still in print/production and is avail at starfleetgames.com

Brings back memories - had a group of friends that used to play this back in high school in the late 80's, early 90's. Lots of fun.
Damn Andromedans!
If I remember correctly, Interplay also based a couple of computer games off of this that actually weren't too bad. Might have to look at whether any of them are still playable.

I believe the computer game you are referring to is Starfleet Command, which is recently become available on GOG. It was a very fun game though I believe it did simplify some of the rules (and most of the interface) for the sake of gameplay.

I loved that game! I played again recently, but the missions become predictable. Multiplayer was a blast though.
