The funny thing is that they started banning people for taking part in these protests.

This is a 15 year old game. There will be no new players for this, only people who have been playing this game for a long time are still active. Nobody will join this game because of their virtue signalling, but plenty of people will leave. It's a pure net loss for the company behind it.

I do wonder what the Chinese owners think of this and if some heads are going to roll.

edit: typo

Reminds me of when Habbo Hotel started banning "nigras."

It's even funnier because they are banning people just for wearing white clothes near the protest, even though there is a white set that is incredibly popular due to it improving movement speed.

They've probably banned hundreds of people who were just checking their farming plots.

Apparently one of the mods (madwolf or something) thought inserting politics into a mmorpg was a good idea.

The flowers planted in the shape of a swastika at the 18:30 mark say differently. ...funny shit.

It is aslong those politics are part of the story.

Inserting your own shit, well not so much.

When will people realize homos/bis don't want all this pandering? We just don't wanna be discriminated (too much).

Same thing can be said about every other group of people that get virtue signaled to.

Nobody likes people who pretend to do good thing by words. People only give half a shit for a word. People give a full shit on action and an action of 'gay pride' event in an MMO is the epitome of useless actions from powerless words.

You guys got your marital rights, and its pretty much social and career suicide to openly disagree with it. So this perpetual victim status created for you by SJWs is nothing more than sensationalism at this point.

A little sad to me they took the game in this direction. I was a player mod back in the games heyday and the main concern at that time was with bots.

I guess now that I think about it they were showing signs of political correctness then. Though fuzzy I recall there was a lot of unhappy people at one point when they decided that pentagrams (in a dungeon with demons) were offensive and changed them all to some other texture.

I'm also a bit surprised that over a decade later that they're still around.

I remember some time after I left, hearing about a large amount of backlash from changes they seemly made out of the blue on how player killing worked.

For those unfamiliar a large portion of the virtual economy at least when I was there revolved around this. I think after a few years they reverted those changes, but I imagine this pushed out a lot of the original core players that were still around.

Feel free to ask questions if interested, I was also online and a player mod during the Falador Massacre of 06/06/2006.

The Falador Massacre was fucking fantastic!

I was a Pmod myself during that time, going under the username Commtech4. I was still a kid.

Anyway, what happened:

A player found some bug in the game that allowed him to PK outside of the designated Player Killing Area. He shared this bug with his friends, and they ran around the most populated FTP city, then Falador, and killed EVERYBODY.

Player base was pissed, and there were a bunch of mods running around trying to stop it. In the end, we directed people to leave the city and spread out, to make it harder for the guys to do their thing until one of the Admins could come drop the ban hammer.

Good times.

EDIT: The bug happened when the first player to achieve 99 Construction hosted a house party. Some players got kicked from the house while doing combat mini games, and somehow they retained the ability to attack other players.

Interesting anecdote - The guy who threw the party eventually got banned for circumventing the game's economy.

Basically there was a glitch/bug that allowed some people to kill other players in areas of the game that they shouldn't have been able too.

A new skill was added not long before called construction where players could build their own house.

The first guy to reach the maximum skill level (99) held a party at his house and a lot of people showed up.

One of the furniture pieces available in the homes was some kind of dueling ring, players could fight in it and die, but respawn right outside again having lost nothing, just for good fun.

The bug I believe was due to people getting booted (due to the large volume) from his house while in a dueling match.

When this happened whatever flag in their profile was set saying it's ok to attack or kill anyone stayed on.

Of course for some of the affected players, rather than waiting it out, they decided it would be fun to start killing innocent players.

So they headed up north of the area where one entered the housing towards the city of Falador, killing players along the way.

As they made there way up, word started getting out to both the Jagex Mods and player Mods, I and several other player mods were on the scene by the time they had reached Falador, players were still getting killed.

For us player mods all we could really do amongst the chaos was tell people to put all there stuff in the bank so it would be safe if they were killed (logging off would work too unless they were being attacked).

Pretty quickly (he may already have been there by then) a Jagex mod showed up and banned the players on the spot, and ended the massacre.

It was considered one of the worst bugs to occur in the game.

I believe the worst bug before that had occured years before where a player had found some way to duplicate one of the games most valuable items.

These same people that want to have homo parades are the same people that attack "drumpf" constantly because they think the first president in history to support gay rights is going to put them in internment camps. These are the same people that support Muslims that even in the 21st century still kill gays.

Sorry but I don't pander to people that haven't done anything other than sticking their dick in other men and licking vaginas.

Being liberal is a mental disease in 2017.

I suppose then this is one way to reminding them of real life. Shame that it's at the cost of killing the game but virtue signalers gonna virtue signal.

Two words:

Anime War.

Edit: Speaking of which, how has that been going recently? I forsee the rise of a dedicated Anime faction if the meme ban stays.

This is the retro version, based on a server snapshot from 2007. It's intentional.
