What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

He didn't "hack" the switch, rather he found that the webkit exploits used in an iOS 9 jailbreak are still present in the Switch's browser. Perhaps it could be used to load something similar in concept to .3dsx files? I mean, it's a stretch. Something sort of a "glory hole" has been found though.

If it is actually running a new version of 3ds software, it might be some work but you should be able to. Anyone know if the switch updates its software over the air? They might roll out and emergency patch for this

Damn the switch, between the lack of software, the left paddle de-syncing and being loose playing during handheld play, and now this. The Switch is more gimmicky console release than the Wii U. It's a PlayStation Vita, with a giant scratch prone docking station that outputs to a TV(pretty sure all handhelds are doing this by now). Now excuse me, while I go play Zelda: Breath of Wild, the most fun and addicting game I've played in quite awhile... ...wait what? It's on the Wii U too, making the Switch even more pointless to own? Fuck me.

Only difference ive heard is frame rate drops (particularly in kakariko village, drops to the point of near freezing) on wii u and 720 vs 1080p gameplay.

Both of those are solvable with emulation. Wind Waker, if emulated using Cemu, shows a significant decrease in framedrops and a smoother experience overall, and as for the resolution the emulator also allows you to upscale to your heart's content.
It does make sense that the differences between the two versions are minimal. BotW was initially meant to be a Wii U game.

It had to happen sooner than later. With all the hope built around the Switch, it was irresistible for the technicians.
