Wish consumers had a right to override license deadlocks. Sort of "make an agreement or you'll both lose the exclusive rights" way.

I think the best solution will always be far, far shorter and limited IP rights.

Take for example a potential solution for software: 10 years after release and it's free for all. (The owner is not required to release sources, but anyone can reverse everything they want)

This would solve an incredible amount of issues. Naturally, a game that includes stuff like music and art would require additional considerations... but welp, I do think the solution to that is too, shorter and more limited rights.

Originally US copyright was 14 years plus another 14 if the copyright was renewed. If we do away with renewal, that's 28 solid years, which is more than enough for everything, music and games alike.
