  1. Obvious
  2. We'd all like for titles to be clear and to the point, but I wouldn't be overly pedantic about it and allow some leeway.
  3. Nobody wants to see a zillion The Cake Is A Lie references but I don't get this whole DAE rule.
  4. I don't see what this covers that Rule 2 does not.
  5. No argument here
  6. No argument here
  7. No argument here
  8. No argument here
  9. I'd probably leave this rule as something like "duplicate topics in a short time frame may be removed at the mod's discretion"

That's actually a really insightful point about rule 4. I can't think of a single time I've made a reminder about rule 4 that didn't also fall under rule 2. We might actually end up taking that one out for just that reason. I appreciate the feedback!

About rule 9, I'd rather leave it with an objective measure of time to avoid any subjectivity. We all measure a short time frame with a different measuring stick, so having a specific period of time means we can enforce a rule fairly and predictably.

I don't think DAE posts have been a problem since before I was on Voat, but I understand that there were a lot of low effort "does anyone else think [X]" and "am I the only one who [Y]" posts at one point. This rule is probably a carry over from that. The thing is, even if a discussion post is low effort, you'll often find meaningful discussion in the comments as people agree and disagree. I wouldn't mind dropping the DAE portion of rule 3.

Great feedback all around; I'm glad you decided to weigh in!
