What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.
If you're not sure, ask!

who needs cancerous publishers? these devs have just cut out the middleman. every time i hear about the game it's bc the fanbase is bent out of shape that they're selling another ship for $125 or $500 or whatever and not implementing content that they promised. admittedly i don't follow the game extremely closely, but i'm one of those people who does not preorder a game, and that includes donating to a kickstarter. i've done all that before, and you nearly never get what you pay for. i feel like that's what's happening with this game.

I personally don't hate on any aspect of star citizen. Although I would never pay money for an unfinished product at this point, I am not about to say the people who have paid chris roberts are morons because if the project turns out well it'll be entirely thanks to those kinds of people. However like I said, I refuse to give money to them until I know what the final product is going to look like.
So I'm hoping it turns out well because the concept does look pretty cool. But I'm not as optimistic about it to pay even just the 45$ or so for the base game package.

Well, I feel a similar way. For me not having much disposable income means I would never blow $100 on virtual assets, never mind $2k on a pc that could run SC...
But I absolutely understand why these devs would do it, because after all its the money they're using to build the game in the first place.
People forget this is an indie studio, as in "independently funded", which is trying to build something very promising.
