Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

I like the idea of a follow up review, to augment the first one because it was lacking.

The problem with this review is that it believes the only racist oppression is against inferior, weak people. Of course there is no historical parallel between Aug oppression and black/Latino/native oppression.
The parallel is the increasingly popular modern oppression of whites. Think if the South African white ghettos, where a generation of educated whites had their jobs given to blacks.
That is the racism this game is about. And the metaphor's tendency to go over people's heads only tells you how dogmatized our generation is.

They also tend to believe that racist is the only flavour of oppression there is. Kind of fitting that DXMD is set in prague, because czechs of all people know that you can be treated like shit by people who look exactly like you over some arbitrary nonsense.
It's todays idiotic all or nothing mentality paired with piss poor education on the matters of the world that gives rise to such nonsense as "all blacks are oppressed" and "whites have innate priviledge".

I really doubt that even in their private thoughtd that (most of) the game's creators would agree with you.

Eh I suppose as far as what the creators were thinking of, you're probably right. I'll concede that.
But I wonder if it's one parallel among many they thought of. It could be they just were afraid of the race issue, and so chose something no one could cry about.
