I'm glad that it has backwards compatibility with older titles. Thx Nintendo.

This is what they meant by a combination of a console and portable device. Please understand.

I don't think it is. They said the NX could play the new Zelda.

But then how would Nintendo keep charging me for the same shit?

But look at how cute that enclosure is!

I want it just for the case, so I can strip out whatever locked-down bullshit hardware Nintendo stuffed in there.

Then put an rPi in there and run more than just the 30 games?

Really? I have a RPi 3 and was happy enough that it can decode h.265 without stuttering, you're now telling me I can play PS1 games on it.

I can relive the magic of Team Buddies?!

RPi 3 decodes H.265? I thought RPi just supported H.264, did you have to buy the extra, cheap, license?

edit Never mind, you're right. Confirmed.

Given the Hi-def NES kit is around $150, I wonder if it could be hacked to have and cartridge port...
Assuming it's a NES-on-a-chip kind of kit instead of a cheap arm board with an emulator.

I would bet it's an emulator. That's how they were able to get 30 games, preinstalled. Flash memory is cheaper than engineering arcane technology.

Or you could go to nes123.com and play any Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Classic Arcade, Gameboy Advance or Sega Genesis game for free (and literally save at any time).

The controller is neat since you can hook it to a wiimote, but the system is meh

Solid list of games. I'm already interested, damn, if it was able to play old cartridges that would be awesome.

It's EmulationStation or RetroPie, and it works GREAT! That's how I've been playing A Link To The Past, lately.
