What you're encouraged to post:
Games! We should talk about games more than anything! New releases, old favorites, Speed Runs, Let's Play's, development news, what we love, what we hate and so on and so forth.
Try to post things that create discussion. We want people to feel engaged and feel their voices are heard, rather than to be a place of disposable content.

Combat in Dark Souls games is intense and generally decent, apart from the buggy shit-ass hit-boxing. But ever now and then you get some pile of shit level like Frozen Eleum Loyce where you have to back track across an entire map to make a boss fight possible (it isn't without doing the side parts) through the entire map which has no shortcuts full of areas with group pulls and guys who can deal 250-500 damage a hit, mobs that deal damage just by being near you, rooms full of golems who can 1 shot you. This is a 30 minute trek from the nearest bonfire (since the one in that area is actually walled into an additional side area (side areas off side areas, yeah good fucking job From) and has no backwards access. Questionable design options which turn the map into an unenjoyable and nearly unplayable pile of shit.
You don't need save points, check points, warp points every five minutes (which is fucking bizarre that Eleum Loyce is completely barren of them consider that Dark Souls 2 has fucking checkpoints every five minutes in every other fucking map) but there comes a point where slogging through 50 mother fuckers gets you progress.
I guess, in short, even games with engaging mechanics can be ruined by having shit level design.
