Interesting, but probably not worth $99 + cost of MicroSD. FAT32, so 4GB file limit, but supports split ISO files (never heard of a spilt ISO before). Should support burning to an ISO file, too.

I'm sort of with you on that. For the price, that startech one might be better. http://www.startech.com/HDD/Enclosures/External-Hard-Drive-Enclosure-with-Virtual-ISO~S2510BU3ISO

My phone can do something similar with the app DriveDroid.

It does look interesting. You can boot from a bootable USB though and like it says on their site you can already run an iso with software. I guess I just don't see the point of it not requireing software? Easier for new users?

I was thinking the same thing. Rufus makes it just as easy: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

I think it's more about needing to boot off an ISO while in the field. Like "I need to boot to a WinPE recovery environment to fix this POS laptop that Bill in HR installed the virus on.. dang, my laptop is on a different floor" type of usage. But someone else pointed out DriveDroid - which does something like this. Very cool - but you need a cable I'm presuming. I've never tried DriveDroid.

This looks interesting. Has anyone tried one of these?

For $100 dollars? Eh? What am missing here?

I can already natively mount ISO files in Windows, and I have a ton of 4GB USB sticks lying around that I can dump an ISO if I want to boot from it. I also have am easy2boot stick which does exactly this..

The Zalman VE-200SE can run as a virtual cd-rom or portable hard drive.

IF it is same as mounting an ISO file on pc to behave like a DVD. Then it's already a windows feature.

Just use easy2boot on a normal USB stick.

Yeah - I know you can push an ISO to a USB then insert it - this will hold multiple ISOs then mount them and emulate a CDRom - handy in the field.

So does the tool I just linked. Does the exact same things with multiple ISO on one USB drive and its free.
