Calvin & Hobbes' comic strip land aka 'Sunday spot' is open for sale. Lady in yellow is a comic strip real estate agent selling it to the new owner, 'Skitter.'

If you look at the top border you can see Calvin's hair and hobbes' ears outlined in gray.

A lot of the old leftover items on the floor are from famous comics of theirs as well.

This still doesn't make any sense, and I'm trying so hard.

Is it just an homage to C&H?

edit: Okay it's meta. The real estate agent is talking about the strip's page space as if it were real estate. Am I still missing something? Because it's not funny. A simple comparison between space in a newspaper and real estate isn't comedy...

edit2: Okay it's alluding more to C&H, maybe? Is this cartoon replacing C&H? I am a huge C&H fan, so I wanna know...

It's a series called "Skitter", but this is a one-off homage to "Calvin and Hobbes". This is not a series about C&H.

There is a subtle Calvin and Hobbes theme to that...

Yes!!! Welcome back!

I enjoy the cameo/silhouettes of C&H on the top border.

I'll be looking out for it.

just to clarify... my strip is not "Calvin and Hobbes". This is a one-off homage to C&H in my comic strip "Skitter"

Of course, I wasn't insinuating that c&h was making a comeback.

Even so! Looks like a good start.

Thanks for checking out my comic strip "Skitter"! This month my Wacom tablet is in for repairs. I've been posting older strips on Thursdays... like this one... so I don't completely drain my buffer.

Please please please try and bring the fun and thought provoking back to comics that has been lost for years... I see the homage in this one, and it gives me hope. Sunday comics have sucked beyond belief for so long now I'm amazed they are still even included in papers...

Yeah they suck, but it doesn't really matter because newspapers are dying. The best comics I've seen are on the web. They are the only ones that make me laugh.
