I guess. I still think the apollo missions were probably the most ambitious/crazy/show-of-bravery

In a way I agree and I wish Apollo had been historically important, but the colonization of North America in particular has had a greater impact on history than the moon landing.

I suppose. But that was going to be done soon, eventually, i mean loads of people were trying it, and could have done it. The moon however, could be said to be much harder, and the fact it was done I think said more about our species than the colonisation of the americas (which by the way, happened before columbus and co.
