Leif Eriksen FTW!
Leif vs. Columbus? Leif's discovery killed none to few. Columbus led to the genocide of an entire population.
I didn't even read the link. I assume it mentions Leif.

I guess. I still think the apollo missions were probably the most ambitious/crazy/show-of-bravery

In a way I agree and I wish Apollo had been historically important, but the colonization of North America in particular has had a greater impact on history than the moon landing.

I suppose. But that was going to be done soon, eventually, i mean loads of people were trying it, and could have done it. The moon however, could be said to be much harder, and the fact it was done I think said more about our species than the colonisation of the americas (which by the way, happened before columbus and co.

Actually it must have been some unnamed Roman, but nice joke!

Romans in the Americas? I'd like to hear more about it. Do you have any links on that?
[–] theoldguy 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
I was basing my statement on reading many times over the years how Indians had Roman coins in their possession, but a bit of googling found this among other things.
