Exactly how I felt about it when I found it. Also, there is a lure here in that it is new. Getting in on the ground floor and being able to help shape a community is an exciting prospect. It's why I am here. I want to help make this place awesome. At reddit, it feels so large that I hardly ever comment because I just feel like it gets lost.

Precisely! I'm so happy to be around in this day and age.

We're all going to probably be some of the most respected users here in the years to come, just because we signed up in alpha and made subverses first. It's just such an exciting prospect, to be able to go into a small community where you're more than just a cog in the machine, but someone actually shaping something and becoming something.

I have the same message right now. Lame. I want to upvote all the things. I guess it's a good thing but man is it annoying.

It was like trying to yell in a storm. You get to say your peace but no one is going to hear it.

I'm sure it'll happen again eventually. However that isn't all bad, more users should be more varied content which is a good thing

I'm worried the same thing will happen here when it inevitably blows up, but my hope is that it will remain an open forum of civil discussion and that it won't become another polarized circlejerk.

And the only things people did hear were the really stupid things you said.

There are some smaller subreddits that I very much enjoy. The big default subs are much worse than the smaller hobbyist subs. Just looking through Voat, it's great that it's so small over here, but at the same time it makes discussion that much harder.
