Rich friend lived on golf course when I was a kid.
We used to joke that walking barefoot on the greens felt like black people's hair.
We probably got major tumors from walking barefoot on chemically grown grass, but damnit was it worth it.

That a fancy term for "nigger hair"?

You're not even kidding about the tumors. My mom used to say, if one more person dies of cancer on this street I'm going to have an investigation. Then the dog died of cancer, then my mom. No we never needed to buy golf balls; we'd just get them from our back yard.
We had a shrub fence with a golf cart sized hole in it.

Sorry to hear it sir.
That shit aint no joke. Imagine these rich folks think they're living the life but they are actually accelerating their own demise by touching chemicals all over their shoes, balls, clubs, towels, breathing it in as some cooks off in the sun, catching a facefull of irrigation mist in your eyes/face orifices on a daily basis.
Nobody thinks that far into it. The maintenance guys will tell you that they spray it down after so it goes into the soil, but it doesnt.
Many places use a compound of liquid and slower time release pods that just sit on the surface and then ooze their contents on the top.
Slow kill is a beyotch.
Cheers!
